Upcoming Birth Healing Jobs
Hi all,
The following jobs need to be done to move Birth Healing ahead as an organisation-- would anyone like to volunteer to undertake them?
(I can do them myself, but I'd like for members to be involved as much as you feel comfortable with, as it is your organisation and being shaped by the community will be of the most benefience).
[list][*]Write a plan for promoting and marketing Birth Healing
Come up with some better member levels
Design branding for Birth Healing
Expand the information provided on the site
If anyone is interested in becoming a regular volunteer for Birth Healing, I am looking for a researcher- someone who can peruse the daily media for articles on birth, check facts, and make sure the information we provide is accurate and in the right context. It's a big job, but important.

What does better memeber levels mean? More members? More involvement?

Re: Upcoming Birth Healing Jobs
Thanks Indigo, that would be awesome. If you find anything of interest, post a link to it in the "Birth and Birth Trauma in the Media" section (I can give you more detailed directions on how to do this if you like. I'm after a wide range of articles/pieces, from all angles, that we can then read and discuss as a group.
Ideally I'd like to make that subforum one of our main focuses of discussion, along with the soapbox forum (on discussing all types of birth issues with a view to individual members being more informed and having a fuller understanding of issues), and the 'healing' type threads.
Do it when it feels right for you, and you have the time. We run things around here when we have the time and the passion, not via schedule.
Morgaine, did you want to take on encouraging discussion in the soapbox section? Post a question, or issue, and we can share our views, experiences etc. I'm envisioning maybe a topic or two a month. How does that fit in with your time commitments?
Kilmeny, I meant the level names that are used on forums, such as "senior member", or colour levels etc that you may see around the place. But I'm actually going to make an executive decision (and therefore contradicting the action) and do away with member levels altogether. I don't personally think that one person deserves a greater title than another, or has more to contribute, based on a post count. I don't like heirachy, I like an organic structure where people move towards jobs that resonate with them. So I'm off to change that now.

Sammi, I'm more than happy to do that! Just curious ... why did you pick me for that job

Putting my diplomatic hat on...
Non-diplomatically, probably because you are going to talk birth issues anyway, so I'd like to harness that enthusiasm!
