The following jobs need to be done to move Birth Healing ahead as an organisation-- would anyone like to volunteer to undertake them?

(I can do them myself, but I'd like for members to be involved as much as you feel comfortable with, as it is your organisation and being shaped by the community will be of the most benefience).

What did you do?

I went and bought fruit and veg and some new potted herbs for our growing herb garden. Adam made me a carb free cheese cake which is soooo good words fail me!

I got given a beautiful bookmark that Stylish made, she divided in up into three parts. She decorated one part, Spikee decorated the middle part and Adam did the bottom of it. What a clever idea me thinks!!!

I also got given a new microwave coz the old one kicked the bucket! Adam told the guy ...

I am seeking some testimonials about Birth Healing to be used in promotion of our site- specifically, to begin with, in an article about the site for Joyous Birth's online magazine, 'JOY'.

What I require is one or two sentences stating how Birth Healing has helped you, and either your user name or first name only, for example: "Birth Healing helped me find a group of wonderful, supporting women to walk with me during this hard journey- Sammi" . It doesn't ...

It's time to put on my administrator hat

I have noticed for a while in general, a trend that concerns me on this site, and I feel it would be irresponsible of me not to address it. No guilt is intended, it is simply extending our frames of reference and awareness, and improving the forum.

The issue that concerns me is the differentiation between "alternative" and "mainstream" practices, and more importantly, the value judgments made therein by some ...

This idea is a blatant rip off from JB, so credits to those who started it over there.

I thought it would be good to start a roving journal.

What is a roving journal you ask? Well, it's like this.

I've bought a notebook. I'm going to write in it for a week or two, musings about birthing and life and all that. When my two weeks is up, I'll send it to the next person who can write in it. Then they send it on, until it eventually comes back to me, and I write again and keep sending ...

I'll be incorporating Birth Healing within the next couple of weeks, with a view to extend it to a community organisation. The thing is, 'Birth Healing' is a boring name. It sums up what we do well, but I would like a more creative, memorable name. Can anyone think of anything, something that still decribes in some way healing and preventing birth trauma...There might be some kind of prize in it *looks around for prize*

New, happy non offensive ranks

I've come up with new ranks.

1 post= In the Healing Circle

100 posts= Showing her Beautiful soul

250 posts= Awakening her Divine Power

500 posts= Dancing in Celebratory Light

750 posts= Elder

So I'm thinking long term here (except got Heket, who if she keeps going at the same rate, will be an elder by some time next week! ). When you get to 1000 posts, you may choose your own title.

If you are a man, I can change the ranks too, so it will say 'him' instead of 'her'.

Hi all,

You may notice a few changes around, like our new logo, and rank system.

Basically the ranks are just a bit of fun, and a way of acknowledging our most active users. The more posts you make, the higher your rank. At the moment everyone starts off as a newborn and will eventually work themselves up to be an elder, if they post enough

I borrowed the rank names from another forum, but I don't feel entirely comfortable doing this. I was wondering if anyone else had ideas ...
